1. Standards
BackerCove is a community built on good faith and mutual respect. Whether you are on the platform or in our Discord, treat others with courtesy, engage honestly, keep discussion relevant and constructive, respect people's privacy and intellectual property, and follow the instructions of our team and moderators. These Guidelines apply to all members and supplement our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.
2. Prohibited conduct
You may not, on the platform or in our community spaces:
- Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or incite violence against anyone.
- Post hateful, discriminatory, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful or illegal content.
- Spam, flood, or post unsolicited advertising or repetitive promotion.
- Deceive others, run scams, engage in fraud, or misrepresent a campaign, its funding, or your identity or affiliation.
- Share others' private information without consent, or infringe intellectual-property or other rights.
- Manipulate rankings, reviews, badges, or votes, or use bots or fake accounts.
- Attempt to bypass moderation, bans, or access controls.
3. Discord community rules
Access to our private Discord is a benefit for eligible members, not a right. You join by connecting your Discord account through our secure flow; we never post a public invite link. Roles (such as Verified Backer, Verified Creator, and Featured Creator) reflect your platform status. In Discord you must follow these Guidelines, Discord's own Terms and Community Guidelines, and any channel-specific or moderator instructions. Discord participation is governed by these rules and is revocable.
4. Reporting problems
If you see conduct that violates these Guidelines, report it to our team through the platform or Discord. We review reports and take action at our discretion, prioritizing the safety and trust of the community.
5. Enforcement & revocation
Depending on the severity and history of a violation, we may warn you, edit or remove content, restrict features, revoke Discord access and roles, or suspend or terminate your account. Where we revoke Discord eligibility we record a reason and, where appropriate, notify you. Serious or repeated violations may lead to permanent removal. Our enforcement decisions are made in good faith and may be applied without prior notice where necessary to protect the community.
